D. Sean McEwen (Chairman)

Mr. McEwen founded KonaTel in 2014 as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) providing wireless voice and data services. From 2010 to 2013, he served as an executive consultant to international MVNOs in the U.S., Peru, Croatia and China, providing expertise in the areas of operations and technology procurement & deployment. From 2010 to 2011, Mr. McEwen served as a founding board member of the exchange traded fund One Fund (NYSE: ONEF). Russell Investments acquired One Fund in 2011. In 2007, Mr. McEwen became a member of the venture/angel investment group Sierra Angels. While a member, he served on several high-tech due diligence committees and participated in early stage funding transactions.

In early 1983, after departing college prior to graduation, Mr. McEwen co-founded Online Data Corp. Through a series of acquisitions/mergers, the company was eventually renamed TriTech Software Systems. From 1983 to 1990, TriTech developed enterprise software applications for numerous businesses, including E. F. Hutton Life Insurance, Travel Lodge Hotels, Foodmaker (Jack in the Box restaurants), AT&T, and Visa’s Plus Systems national ATM network. In 1991, McEwen and his partners transformed TriTech into an application and systems integration company specializing in mission critical software solutions for public safety (Police, Fire, EMS). TriTech’s flagship product, VisiCAD, was the world’s first 9-1-1 emergency dispatching system based on Microsoft technology with integrated GPS based tracking and predictive routing technology. In 1995, TriTech won Microsoft’s Most Innovative Windows Application award competing against Windows applications worldwide. In 1998, while Mr. McEwen was CEO, TriTech was named to the Inc. 500 as the 344th fastest growing privately-held company in the United States.

Mr. McEwen served as Vice President of TriTech from 1983 to 1988, President from 1988 to 1996, Chairman/CEO from 1996 to 2000 and finally served as a member of the Board of Directors until controlling interest was sold to Westview Capital Partners in 2006.

Robert Beaty (Director)

Mr. Beaty is currently the President of AGS Construction Inc., a premier reconstruction company in Colorado. For over 35 years, AGS has successfully provided unique construction and reconstruction services across Denver and the surrounding areas. Prior to assuming the management of AGS, he was the founder and CEO of Impact Telecom, a national leader in the telecommunications market delivering flexible and effective solutions to carriers, businesses, and consumers. While CEO of Impact Telecom, Mr. Beaty completed multiple acquisitions and successfully grew the company to over $200 million in annual revenue. Impact Telecom was acquired by Lingo Communications in January 2019.

Mr. Beaty brings over 23 years of executive telecommunications experience to our board, managing a large portfolio of wholesale and commercial customers. Prior to creating Impact Telecom in 2005, he served as Senior Vice President of Sales for ICG Communications. While at ICG, he helped guide the company through bankruptcy and was a valued member of the senior executive team tasked with growing and managing the company.

Earlier in his career at AT&T Broadband, Mr. Beaty focused on emerging technologies including telephony over cable and was responsible for business planning and coordinating operations with the local and long-distance service organizations. During his tenure at AT&T, he successfully negotiated and managed multiple corporate initiatives for various divisions on an aggressive implementation schedule and gained valuable operations experience, which he has applied throughout his career.

Mr. Beaty earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Kansas and his M.B.A. in Business Administration from Webster University. Bob is a motivated and determined individual with a keen focus on accomplishing goals while meeting individual needs.

Jeffery Pearl (Director)

Mr. Pearl brings more than 30 years of Telecommunications/Cloud Service Provider experience. He has experience in both startup environments as well as working inside some of the largest telecommunications companies, both privately-held as well as publicly traded. He has expertise in building go to market strategies, focusing both on direct sales as well as alternative distribution channels.

Mr. Pearl currently serves as CEO and co-founder of OTG Consulting, founded in May 2016. OTG Consulting is a telecom and cloud services-oriented sales agency formed by a group of industry leaders. The group assists executives of SMB and enterprise businesses as they embrace and deploy cloud-based services. OTG Consulting works with numerous telecommunications carriers and service providers delivering solutions for voice and data communications, Internet, hosting, managed services and other cloud offerings. Mr. Pearl also co-founded Secure View, where he serves as Chief Revenue Officer and Partner, which was founded in December 2016. Secure View is focused on delivering “best in class” unified IP-based security solutions.

Prior to starting OTG Consulting and Secure View, Mr. Pearl worked at BroadSoft (acquired by Cisco) from July 2013 to May 2016, where he successfully managed the company’s North America Carrier Sales group. In this role, he cultivated strong relationships with C-Level executives within the major U.S. telecommunicates carriers and service providers utilizing the BroadSoft platform. Under his guidance, his group also expanded new relationships with startups and providers not utilizing BroadSoft. After successfully managing North American Carrier Sales, Mr. Pearl was promoted to create a new division, Channel Acceleration, targeting business development efforts at the world’s largest telecommunications carriers both inside outside the US. In this role, his teams engaged with executives and sales organizations to assist in accelerating their efforts around “Go to Market” strategies, sales training and sales assistance in the area of Hosted VoIP and SIP Trunking services. Prior to BroadSoft, Mr. Pearl successfully created, operated and sold two VoIP (Voice over IP) software-based telecom companies.

Terry Addington (Director)

Mr. Addington was the Chairman and CEO of SI Wireless, SI Spectrum and Twigby from late 2009 until his retirement on January 1, 2018. Mr. Addington has had a distinguished 30-year career in the Wireless Industry, having entered the industry in 1984. In 1990, Mr. Addington participated in the founding of the entity that would become First Cellular of Southern Illinois. While at First Cellular, Mr. Addington succeeded in making the company a leader not only in the rural carrier community but in the broader wireless industry as well. He was a 12-year Director of both the Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association (CTIA) and the Rural Cellular Association (RCA, now the CCA). From 2004 to 2005, he served as Chairman of the Board of the CTIA, and from 2001 to 2002, he served as Chairman of the Board of the RCA.

Mr. Addington is the recipient of numerous honors and distinctions for his work in federal and state legislative, regulatory and policy matters, including the prestigious Wireless Industry Presidents Award, presented by CTIA in 1995, as well as the GTE Mobilnet Presidents Award. He has served on several early stage company Boards of Directors and was a past Consultant to Vantage Marketplace, LLC, a subsidiary of Goldman Sachs. His civic involvement activities include several years on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Telecommunications Association (ITA) and the Rend Lake College foundation and six years as a Commissioner of the Mount Vernon, Illinois Economic Development Commission.

Mr. Addington was born and raised in Seattle, Washington and earned a degree in Economics from Central Washington State University, Ellensburg, Washington.

Mark Savage (Director)

Mr. Savage is the founder and owner of M2 Capital Advisors, Inc., a corporate advisory company with principal offices in Minnetonka, Minnesota. For nearly two decades, M2 Capital has pioneered an innovative form of financial consulting that combines introduction to growth capital and access to corporate finance strategy and key business development services critical to the rapid growth and long-term success of emerging companies. These services, provided by M2 Capital staff specialists and representatives, include executive recruiting and team building, human resource planning, securities and contract law, marketing strategies, brand development, strategic industry relationships, marketing communications, investor relations, business plans, white papers and corporate governance (particularly Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPPA, and Gram-Leach-Bliley). M2 Capital’s consultative approach to early stage investing has proven to be a valuable skill set that enables entrepreneurs and early stage management teams to remain focused on core business issues while accelerating the growth of shareholder value. M2 Capital has provided early stage services to innovative companies developing new technologies and services in software, biotech, e-commerce and telecom and gaming industries in the United States, Canada and Central and South America.

During these two decades, M2 Capital has specialized in founding, financing and developing growth companies in the United States. The principal and professionals of M2 Capital have developed a successful track record of combining timely business and market strategies with effective management teams to launch and introduce early-stage funding to publicly-held companies. M2 Capital has extensive experience in acquiring and merging operating companies into publicly-traded companies with little or no operating history. It has implemented a format to lay the corporate, financial and regulatory foundation for companies, some of which have gone on to be traded on NASDAQ and other exchanges and that have subsequently successfully completed substantial equity and debt financings and mergers and acquisitions.
