D. Sean McEwen (Chairman)

Mr. McEwen founded KonaTel in 2014 as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) providing wireless voice and data services. Prior to creating KonaTel from 2010 to 2013, he served as a management consultant to international telecommunications carriers in the U.S., Peru, Croatia, Serbia, and China, providing expertise in the areas of telecommunications technology procurement & deployment. From 2010 to 2011, Mr. McEwen also served as a founding board member of the exchange traded fund One Fund (NYSE: ONEF) until acquired by Russell Investments in 2011.

In early 1983, Mr. McEwen co-founded Online Data Corp, and through a series of acquisitions/mergers, the company eventually became TriTech Software Systems. From 1983 to 1990, TriTech developed enterprise software applications for numerous companies, including E. F. Hutton Life Insurance, Travel Lodge Hotels, Foodmaker (Jack in the Box restaurants), AT&T, and Visa’s Plus Systems national ATM network.

In 1991, McEwen and his team evolved TriTech into an enterprise application and systems integration company specializing in mission critical enterprise software solutions for public safety (Police, Fire, EMS). TriTech’s flagship product, VisiCAD, was the world’s first 9-1-1 emergency dispatching system based solely on Microsoft technology with integrated GPS based tracking and predictive routing technology.

In 1995, TriTech won Microsoft’s Most Innovative Windows Application award. In 1998, TriTech was named to the Inc. 500 as the 344th fastest growing privately-held company in the United States.

Mr. McEwen served as Vice President of TriTech from 1983 to 1988, President from 1988 to 1996, Chairman/CEO from 1996 to 2000 and finally as a member of the Board of Directors until successfully exiting the company when controlling interest was sold to Westview Capital Partners in 2006.

Robert Beaty (Director)

Mr. Beaty was the founder and CEO of Impact Telecom, a national leader in the telecommunications market delivering flexible and effective solutions to carriers, businesses, and consumers. While he was CEO of Impact Telecom, Mr. Beaty completed multiple acquisitions and successfully grew the company to over $200 million in annual revenue. Impact Telecom was acquired by Lingo Communications in January 2019.

Mr. Beaty brings over 23 years of executive telecommunications experience to the KonaTel board, managing a large portfolio of wholesale and commercial customers. Prior to creating Impact Telecom in 2005, he served as Senior Vice President of Sales for ICG Communications. While at ICG, he helped guide the company through bankruptcy and was a valued member of the senior executive team tasked with growing and managing the company.

Earlier in his career, while at AT&T Broadband, Mr. Beaty focused on emerging technologies including telephony over cable and was responsible for business planning and coordinating operations with the local and long-distance service organizations. During his tenure at AT&T, he successfully negotiated and managed multiple corporate initiatives for various divisions on an aggressive implementation schedule and gained valuable operations experience, which he has applied throughout his career.

Mr. Beaty earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Kansas and his M.B.A. in Business Administration from Webster University.

Jeffery Pearl (Director)

Mr. Pearl brings more than 30 years of telecommunications service provider experience. He has experience in both startup environments as well as working inside some of the nation’s largest telecommunications companies, both privately held as well as publicly traded. He has expertise in building go-to-market strategies, focusing both on direct sales as well as alternative distribution channels.

Mr. Pearl currently serves as CEO of OTG Consulting, founded in May 2016. OTG Consulting is a telecom and cloud services-oriented sales agency formed by a group of industry leaders. The group assists executives of SMB and enterprise businesses as they embrace and deploy cloud-based services. OTG Consulting works with numerous telecommunications carriers and service providers delivering solutions for voice and data communications, Internet, hosting, managed services and other cloud offerings. Mr. Pearl also co-founded Secure View, a company that provides “best in class” unified IP-based security solutions, in December 2016, where he serves as Chief Revenue Officer and Partner.

Prior to starting OTG Consulting and Secure View, Mr. Pearl worked at BroadSoft (acquired by Cisco) from July 2013 to May 2016, where he successfully managed the company’s North America Carrier Sales group. In this role, he cultivated strong relationships with C-Level executives within the major U.S. telecommunicates carriers and service providers utilizing the BroadSoft platform. Under his direction, this group also expanded new relationships with startups and providers not utilizing BroadSoft. After successfully managing North American Carrier Sales, Mr. Pearl was promoted to create a new division, Channel Acceleration, targeting business development efforts at the world’s largest telecommunications carriers both inside outside the U.S. In this role, his teams engaged with executives and sales organizations to assist in accelerating their efforts around go-to-market strategies, sales training and sales assistance in the area of hosted VoIP and SIP Trunking services. Prior to BroadSoft, Mr. Pearl successfully created, operated and sold two VoIP software-based telecom companies.
